Cayo Levisa from Viñales
On the same stretch of Pinar del Rio’s north coast as Cayo Jutia and 50km northeast of Viñales, you’ll find the abandoned military outpost of Palma Rubia which is the ferry departure point for Cayo Levisa, more developed for tourism than Cayo Jutia but still relatively virgin. This 3km-wide, densely wooded islet offers some of the finest white sands and clearest waters in Pinar del Río, and unless you take advantage of its diving center, there’s blissfully little to do here than just relax on the beach or wander up and down its pristine which sands.
